NORTHERN VIETNAM

Motorbike Rental in Hanoi

Rent motorbikes in Hanoi for city exploration or northern Vietnam adventures. Drop off available — ride from Ho Chi Minh City and return your bike here, or start your Ha Giang loop.

Traffic & Roads

Hanoi's traffic is chaotic but characterful — the Old Quarter's narrow streets see heavy motorbike and pedestrian flow. Main roads like Tran Hung Dao and Giai Phong are wide but congested during rush hours. Northern roads toward Ha Giang and Sapa are mountainous with sharp turns and occasional fog.

Popular Routes

Hanoi is the gateway to Vietnam's most spectacular riding. The Ha Giang loop (300 km, 3–4 days) is legendary. Sapa and the Mu Cang Chai rice terraces (280 km northwest) offer stunning mountain scenery. Mai Chau (135 km southwest) is a popular weekend ride through karst valleys.

Parking & Tips

Parking in Hanoi's Old Quarter is tight — use designated lots near Hoan Kiem Lake. Be cautious on wet roads in winter (October–February). Northern Vietnam gets cold — pack layers if riding to Sapa or Ha Giang from November to March.
