Da Nang has wide, well-maintained roads and significantly less traffic than HCMC or Hanoi. The coastal road along My Khe Beach is beautiful and easy to ride. The city is compact — most destinations are within 15 minutes by motorbike.

Popular Routes

The Hai Van Pass (30 km north toward Hue) is Vietnam's most famous motorbike road — featured on Top Gear. Da Nang to Hoi An (30 km south) is an easy and scenic ride along the coast. The Ba Na Hills road offers mountain twisties. For a longer adventure, ride south to Quy Nhon (300 km) along the coastal road.

Parking & Tips

Parking is easy and cheap in Da Nang — most places charge 5,000 VND. The Hai Van Pass has no fuel stations — fill up before you go. Hoi An's Ancient Town is closed to motorbikes during the day, but you can park at the edges and walk in.
